The Raffles Jewellery Design programme hosted visiting Malaysian jewellery artist, Joanne Tan (brand name: Joanne T.) for an inspirational discussion and presentation on her edgy and conceptual jewellery.
Trained as a scientist, she moved through various areas in the field of design: primarily architecture and fashion prior to finding her passion in jewellery design in London. Working in gold and pearls Joanne T. stretches the boundaries that define body ornamentation.
Unique to the styles found in Malaysia, Joanne T has a significant following in Europe and the West.
