Kolam Project @ Pavilion KL (24 & 25 October 2016)

Group of VCDM students formed a Kolam Design team at the beginning of July term 2016,
and worked closely with Pavilion to develop a Kolam design for Deepavali 2016 display at Pavilion’s center court.

This year’s theme is Beauty & Unity with lots of flower inspirations, mainly lotus flowers and colors
from grains, sequins and spices that represent Indian culture.

Main symbol that is placed in the center of Lotus is a representation of Hinduism Symbol called ‘Sri Yantra’, which is a combination of nine interlocking triangles that symbolizes unity and bond of man & woman.

With the supports of students, PDs, and lecturers from VC, MD, ID, and FMM, this project is alive and truly represents Beauty & Unity of this graceful Indian festival as well as unity within all of our hearts.

Day 1 : 24th OCT 2016
