Quality higher education in the arts is vital to the sustainability of a cultured and progressive society.
Coming together to further their respective aims of educational excellence in design and empowering women in the arts, Raffles College of Higher Education – Kuala Lumpur and the Selangor State Government through Institut Wanita Berdaya (IWB) are proud to launch the IWB-Raffles Rekaseni Scholarship in fashion, jewellery or interior design for young women in the State of Selangor who are passionate about pursuing advanced training and careers in these fields.
Under this collaborative strategic initiative, five places for young women from the State of Selangor will be awarded scholarships in Raffles College’s highly competitive design diploma or certificate programme (depending upon their entry qualifications).
The IWB-Raffles Rekaseni Scholarship targets talented Malaysian women who are SPM holders from all across the State of Selangor. Special consideration will be given to young women coming from low income families and marginalised communities.
The selection process will be done jointly between IWB and Raffles, in several stages, including through detailed interviews.
Students of Raffles are assured of hands-on educational training of exceptional quality. Graduates are highly sought after in the industry, locally and globally.
The Selangor State Government, through Institut Wanita Berdaya, is grateful for the contribution of the private educational sector through Raffles College of Higher Education – Kuala Lumpur to the development of creative talent and income opportunities among young women in the State.
