FURNITURE HISTORY FINAL PROJECT CRITIC
Furniture History students had the great opportunity to present their Final Furniture Project last Tuesday here in Raffles College.A panel of international judges with different background shared their professional experience with them giving their feedback as designers and as furniture users too.
Thank you to Ms. Nur Atiqah Rohaizan, Director Architect at Atiq’s Architect Sdn.Bhd, Ms. Sophine Tann, Principal, CSLID, Associate, JLD and Ms. Sukanya Chaipong , Thai designer from Bangkok visiting Raffles KL. A warm thank you also to our guests from Alliance Francaise : Amélie Daniel , Paul Dupont and Beverley Wu for participating in our critic session ‘A French touch’.
Tuesday 14th June, after 11 weeks our undergraduates finally came up with a concept for a real piece of Furniture. Their creation focused on our current living standard and also elaborating what they learned during this interesting journey in the Furniture field. Moreover, the goal of this Furniture History Module was also to develop their critical skills and sense of style and taste. This critic session has been created to monitor and observes the overall quality of their work.
Our judges expressed their appreciation toward the variety of projects, moving from Minimalist style to the High-tech, Eco-friendly,Post Modern and so on. So the next task is to wait patiently and see their masterpiece for their Final Graduation Project in September. Good luck to all of them!
