Visual Communication: Design Principles Field Trip

Through carefully observing on the Gallery’s exhibitions and permanent collections, students learnt basic elements of design principles such as point, line, plane, shapes and forms, textures and patterns, and color. They were inspired and able toapply the information and knowledge that they have gained to their final project for Design Principles as well as other projects that deals with thefundamental design principles of Visual Communication.

For this time around, the Gallery hosted a special exhibition called Deaf Art Expressions. Art is such a powerful channel for the hands to express and liberate the spirit. The creative process involved in expressing one’s self artistically is embracing one’s own identity. It is empowering, a true liberation through expression, and liberating the deaf through art. Students surely learnt a lot more than what they have expected from this special event.
